Artists

Erica Falls

Soul singer and songwriter Erica Falls credits her unique vintage sound to her childhood growing up in New Orleans’ 9th Ward, where her parents introduced her to Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, and Whitney Houston.  Whether on stage or in the studio, she channels a sassy, soulful tone that recalls an earlier era. But Erica cautions her fans: “Vintage soul is not about bringing the listener back to a time of authentic music, it’s about reminding them that it never went anywhere,” she says.

    Chris Adkins

Chris Adkins is a guitarist, songwriter and singer in America’s great music city of New Orleans, Louisiana. He has performed on multiple Grammy nominated albums and has held the guitar chair in the band of legendary funk bass player George Porter Jr. (of The Meters) since 2018. Chris is an in demand musician and has performed with respected artists such as Raphael Saadiq, Maria Muldaur, Irma Thomas, Marc Broussard, Zachary Richard, Davell Crawford, Dr. John, Roland Guerin and many more. His guitar and mandolin work can be heard everywhere from PBS Documentaries to Super Bowl light shows. Adkins has performed in venues and festivals around the world including at the Tahiti Jazz & Soul Festival, JazzAscona in Switzerland, Panic En La Playa in Mexico, Ingolstadt Jazz Festival in Germany, Jam Cruise, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, The Capitol Theatre, Levon Helm's studio & venues in 48 U.S. states and as far away as Japan. He is an adjunct professor of guitar at the University of New Orleans.

      Gregory Davis

For over 40 years, trumpeter Gregory Davis has been a driving force in jazz and brass band music, and for 25 years programmer of contemporary jazz at the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

        Kristin Diable

Kristin Diable is a jazzy, soulful singer-songwriter who commands attention whether she performs solo, with her band, The City, or in collaborations that have included members of the Louisiana Philharmonic and the Lost Bayou Ramblers. As a young adult, Diable left her native south Louisiana to spend time in New York City, and returned home in the early 2000’s with solid chops and musical stories to tell. Her voice has been compared to Amy Winehouse, inflected with Southern warmth and playfulness. Her 2015 album, Create Your Own Mythology, was a national success, garnering several awards on the strength of singles like “I’ll Make Time for You” and “Honey, Leave the Light On,” the latter which was featured in Season 7 of television’s Hawaii 5-0. Songs from an earlier release, Kristin Diable and the City were included in episodes of HBO’s True Blood and Treme series.  Diable is a regular performer around New Orleans and at singer-songwriter gatherings, and is an annual feature at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

          Dave Lemon

Dave "Lem The Mad Vocalist" Lemon was born and raised on the west bank of the musically enriched city of New Orleans. Dave's smooth and sensual style reflects the influence this musical mecca had on him growing up, and living in the birth place of jazz, it was only natural that it would have a large impact on the way he would make music for years to come. Music flowed through the soul of Dave at a very young age. It would not be strange to hear him in the back seat of his mom's car singing along to all his favorite tunes, trying to out do the radio.
